So, how do you know it's your story that Jessica is seeing and not just a random story? Most people, when they hear what happened in another life, feel the emotional connection to what is being said. That feeling point travels with us life after life, like an imprint and we feel it when we hear it. The difference in feeling is similar to the way we feel when we think about something that happened to us versus hearing a story that has no connection to us.
And how does hearing about it make any difference? Hearing about what happened in the past takes the feeling out of the deep unconscious and brings it to our awareness - our conscious mind. When we hear what happened we are able to recognise the pattern in our current life and then release it. We see how we created it and the seeing helps us understand and let go of it.
Why do we repeat past patterns? We repeat them because we haven't resolved them. When we have strong emotions about something it anchors itself in our being. We know this because it we do it in our current life all the time. These emotions become patterns that we replay constantly. When we die our emotions, which are non-physical, stay with us. Each life we are trying to resolve whatever it is that we're continually playing out. We want a different result but while it's in our unconscious it's on auto-pilot. Only the conscious mind has the ability to appraise the situation, see the futility or message in it, and let the pattern go.
Patterns that are linked to the past play out over and over in our life. We recognise them as patterns because we see that although the situations are different, the feeling about what is happening, and even the circumstances surrounding it, are very similar. We see the connection. When we can recognise something as a pattern we know that it is connected to the past. It doesn't matter how hard we try, we keep repeating it in different ways over and over.
Everyone feels some level of emotion but as in life, everyone is different. Some people can feel very emotional and others feel less emotional but everyone feels a connection to the event. Emotion is nothing more than energy and energy needs movement in order for our lives to flow easily. When energy (emotion) has been stuck, which is what happens when we keep recreating the same patterns, then life does not flow easily. Releasing this energy helps that area of our life to flow more easily.
As in our current life, we don't just have a single area that we are stuck in. Typically, people have multiple issues or patterns. We're complex beings and it's not as simple as a single pattern. It's more like the old game of Kerplunk. Every straw you remove creates a ripple in the position of the marbles around that straw. So it is in life. Every blockage we remove creates a ripple in our energy body and brings us more into flow.
Each time we release a blockage from the past it can be a bit unsettling. It is a good idea to wait and let ourselves settle into the new normal before uncovering further blocks. At some level all change is unsettling for people, which is one of the reasons why moving house is stressful. Whether change is at an energetic or a physical level, it is good to let the change settle in before you attempt to process further change.
Yes - you can. If you notice a pattern in your life, you can meditate on it and release it. Meditation is like building a bridge between the conscious and the unconscious. Every time we meditate we strengthen that bridge. Over time the link between our conscious and unconscious becomes stronger and we can more easily communicate with the unconscious.
